I put it to you that it should be our 2H war hammer. Being 1H people with 2h skill will pay bigger upkeep. It's current secondary mode is not often used.

OK, why not. I use a +3 Mil hammer as my primary weapon, it's great for that purpose, but the secondary mode is only used when I press X accidentally. Why would I give up damage and knockdown for 1 speed or whatever it is?

Would it be 1 or 2 slots in secondary mode? Usually 2h mode of 1h weapons adds damage and speed, but doing so would make it FAR superior to the Mace if it was 1-slot. I say add the usual 3 dmg, 1 speed for secondary mode, but make it 2-slot (otherwise the Mace would be obsolete). OR keep it 1-slot, but keep the same stats as 1h mode (just press X for the awesome 2h animations/reach).

All melee weapons use the highest melee wpf for their repair chance. Just an FYI.
This game isn't about being skillful as much as its about saying things in general chat that enrage people who then go to murder you but in their rage they make dumb mistakes which gets them killed.

It can only gain reach, because of 2H animations.

Yeah, I've always thought the military hammer would be another nice 1h/2h weapon.

I don't care for the 2h animation it is inferior and easy to block. The different way the weapon will have to be held will counteract that anyway. Remember 1h gets a big pluss on the right swing and the head shot on left swing.

I think 96 speed 78reach (very short 2h) 28 blunt balanced

Military Hammer is very good as it is and doen`t need changes to be even more op.

I don't have a loomed hammer and I play pole arm but the war hammer was of historical significance. It would be cool to have a high ranked "mace".
