Tournament Information:

This tournament will follow the double-elimination (read more about it here) system meaning that the tournament is broken into two sets of brackets, the winners bracket and losers bracket. After the first round, the winners proceed into the winners bracket and the losers proceed into the losers bracket. The format for the battles will be clan battles with the rules in the next section.

Clan Battle Rules:

Game mode: Battle.
10 versus 10 players. If one clan has less players it is up to the other clan to decide whether to fight with 10 members or to fight with the same amount of members as the other clan.
8 rounds with spawn switch at 4 rounds for each map. (For a total of 16 rounds)
2 maps, only native and open field maps. Each clan gets to pick one map.
8 minute time limit.
No weapon restrictions in place unless agreed by both clans. Armor restrictions: Only two players are allowed to take armors above Transitional. The rest of the team has to use Transitional or armor below it. Only one heavy horse (anything above Destrier) is allowed.
All clan battles will have a neutral referee (not from one of them two clans fighting) that will enforce the rules, change the map and give penalties if necessary.
All clan battles can be recoded if wanted.
Class restrictions are in effect: maximum of 3 ranged (can use multiple stacks and weapons) and maximum of 3 cavalry. Exception to this are throwing lances, only one player may take AND use them. Only two archers, two crossbowmen or two throwers are allowed at the same time. You could take two throwers and one archer for example but not three throwers.
Horse archers, horse throwers and horse crossbowman/woman are counted as one ranged and cavalry unit.
Equipment looting is allowed. This means that the class restrictions can be bypassed if the enemy clan loots a horse or a ranged weapon. Clarification: you can only keep looted items during the round you looted them. You cannot spawn with them next round.
All clan battles will take place in our servers at a time both clans agree on. (Shogunate_Dojo)
Results for the matches must be submitted in a one week time limit unless there are special circumstances.
Use of constructions sites and ladders is forbidden. Siege shields are allowed.
OFFICIAL EU SERVER RULES ENFORCED
Additional rules might be added (they will be marked with a different color).

Only throwing lances. The player that takes them is allowed to take as many stacks as he wants but at least it gives the other clan a opportunity to remove them from the field.

I am still thinking whether to allow looting or not because it would be very hard for the referee to control.

I have edited the rule, hopefully that makes it a bit clearer. Only throwing lances have the one person limit. For example two throwers could take Jarids but only one can take lances. All throwing weapons are allowed.

Don't know yet. The amount of time involved in playing a 20round-clanbattle is a little bit much (2-3hours) for smaller clans (or at least clans with not as many active players)

Don't know yet. The amount of time involved in playing a 20round-clanbattle is a little bit much (2-3hours) for smaller clans (or at least clans with not as many active players)

From our experience it shouldn't take longer than 2 hours but we might reduce the amount of rounds if more clans agree. (16 rounds instead of 20 or 10 rounds on a single map)

Assuming both team can't get a time wtih 10 players certainly on will a smaller battle like 6v6 take place or would it be more like 6v10?

Although, this is 10 people and that was 25v25.

I would prefer it if both clans can bring 10 members but if that is not possible it depends on the second clan whether they agree to bring 10 members or 6 members.

BUT, we propose single armour for clan and armour maximum: Heavy Strange Armour, couse in plate wars too many random sliding.
