RAVEN Raven_
OVERVIEW:Ravens have been used through history as a symbol of royalty, power and death. In areas where they once had mythological status they continue to be used. For example, the Isle of Man (once a Viking colony) has the Raven on its Coat of Arms. Additionally among the Norse, Raven banner standards were carried by such figures as the Jarls of Orkney, King Canute the Great of England, Norway and Denmark, and Harald Hardrada. In the British Isles, ravens also were symbolic to the Celts. Ravens are seen as very versatile and opportunistic. It is an appropriate symbol for this mercenary clan.
We are not a role-playing clan except for the very superficial "flavor" of the clan. We emphasize melee builds with the flexibility to use at least a crossbow (or some kind of range), though all builds are accepted.
Siege, Battle or Strat - We combine our strength in combat & watch each other's backs. We refrain from verbal abuse & rudeness (in game and in TS). We let our weapons do the talking. We are mercenaries, independent contractors for hire. We fulfill our contracts.

But in the end - fast or slow, stun or crush - if you can use it effectively, bring it.
* TEAMSPEAK & FORUM* *APPLICATIONS*Show your interest by PMing me (Seddrik) in this forum.
All applicants will go through a trial period. Do not put on tags until told to. This trial time will allow us to evaluate whether you really fit in with the clan. If you are skilled in game already, great, but can you work with a team? If you are not experienced, we are willing to train you if you are willing to learn. You will need to get in TS so we can meet you & coordinate in game.
While real life takes priority and we do not expect you to play 24/7, you will need to be on enough to be considered active.
Key things for applicants to know:
(1) Maturity - Don't be a jerk. Internet heroes are not welcome.
(2) Respect - Show respect even to your enemies. Some friendly quips at another player are fine; but harassment, f-bombs in chat/TS, trolling, undermining the team's effort, and giving Raven a bad reputation shows poor sportsmanship and poor character as well. If you enjoy those things, please look elsewhere.
(3) Teamwork - Try to work with your team and your clan-mates most of all. When organized and working together, 2 swords are always better than one. If you see your clan-mate getting harassed by ranged weapons while he's fighting, try to move in a position to cover him with your shield. Move to assist them even if the toughest opponent in the server is advancing upon them. Duels are for the duel servers. In battle, siege or strat there is no mercy; you and your clan mate should corner that last enemy and leave him no avenue for escape.
(4) Good Sportsmanship - Don't leech or delay the rounds. Running is fine as long as you actually have a plan for counter attack. Do not hit, kick, punch, harass, or wound your teammates, save that for the enemy. Do not troll.
* DIPLOMACY * Raven will be in Strategus as freelancers, for hired hitmen, and mercernaries. If you would like to contact us, look for Raven_Seddrik.
* BACKGROUND * Phoenix Company was the hallmark clan for me. It was a group of players that rolled together well even in narrow halls or walkways. Whether it was a heavy hitter, a shield wall, a choke point, or whatever - we found a way over, around and through the obstacles. When the flag came down, PxC was there. Regrettably PxC has struggled since those days to reform. So, my aim is to create anew the camaraderie and power of that mercenary band. Anyone may apply, but only those who qualify will be chosen.
