Middleman is usually used for trades. Either money for items or directly 1:1 item trades.

That means both give their items to the middleman and he gives them to the other one. Usually that is used in games where you cannot trust anyone else, but the middleman.

I'm not sure why a middlemann was needed anyway. crpg has a small and nice community and actually trades are safe plus you can trust most guys and admins would also help you in certain cases.

Probably so people have no choice but to end up paying because the middle man will have it.
