Nerf the Night

I have a suggestion to nerf the night. I think it is too dark for too long. I can accept that its should be night sometime in the game, but most of the actual battles in history have been fought by day, so why do we fight at night all the time?

My prefered way to solve this is with shorter nights, or fewer. But increasing light levels when it is night may also be an answer. I don't actually know if it is even possible, but hope so.

Anyway. What do the people think?

I hate the night too, especially since it gets dark at 3:00pm on the west coast. Although making it brighter would seem like a good idea

Night time in game is actually shorter than the daytime. The problem could be mitigated a little if map makers would go through and add some props torch_night and light_night to each map which when combined will make a dynamic light source that looks like a torch which will only be lit during the night. More flaming weapons, fire arrows, option for a shield user to take a lantern or torch as an offhand which replaces shield which only produces light must manual block with it?

More light sources in general really.
Maybe you are not bad, but you are a boring person. Well, that's the end of the matter.

Or if torches were better.  I find the ones in Vikingr are pretty nice.  I remember suggesting a while ago that torches be carried in the off-hand by one-handers, even when carrying a shield.  I hope it gets implemented eventually.

I've always wanted to play like this in some RPG games, but it just didn't exist.
Though, before you make this mistake in real life, in hostile open territory it's not the best of ideas to run around with a light source that helps you only a little but does a good job revealing you.

I like the night. It appears to have vanished from NA.

I loathe the blinding sunset/sunrise, which lasts forever.

Night is just good for noobish people, as it is randomizing combat.

70% of time is night-time....while it should be the other way around, i mean seriously ? Its always night, fog, snow, rain, tsunamies, firefogs, floods, etc, etc, we rarely get to see a "proper" daylight battle, nice and sunny.
Do you honestly think you have any sort of moral authority, Reyiz? Go genocide some more armenians and deny it ever happened, please, and stay in the middle east.

And with the map rotation system, I can safely assume daytime fights with good wheather on a flat and open terrain are ridiculously rare in cRPG.

Night-time is garbage.

This has been discussed before though, and back then people seemed to love it (something about it adding to the games atmosphere). Back then it was new and shiny, though.

It might have a use in Strategus, perhaps as a strategical advantage when attacking(?), but it's pretty annoying in cRPG.
Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?
