And it is not bad to use for web developers. It is bad for web developers, when OTHER people use it, because you have to make your web-pages compatible with it, as IE doesn't really comply with various standards, unlike other browsers.
As a result, you are likely to have problems with certain webpages not displaying properly in IE.

Web developer friend of mine complains bitterly about this constantly.

Playing the market to your advantage is fun. If you aren't completely set on having that one specific sword or armor or whatever, it's fun to just flip them for a similar item and make the other guy pay you 10-25k gold. As long as you have room in your 25 offers to keep the thing listed, you can swap crossbows or axes or whatever and have something new to use each week.

edit: looms, i mean. if you can't afford +0 items, then lol

irl something shorted on the shuttle and laika overheated and died within a few hours of liftoff and for a brief while one could look up to the stars and see a light shooting across the sky that was actually a warm dog corpse slingshoting about the earth at thousands of miles per hour which was arguably humanity's greatest achievement so far

A) IE can't have addons. So no addblock, tineye search etc etc. Yes you should care about those and if you don't you are either a moron or a very young individual
B) IE has many security loopholes. You are much more likely to get "hacked".

C) It is outright slower and heavier to your pc.

lol dont go all douchebag on me bro. Im a moderate net user. I dont start yelling in someones ear when they use shit like Vista or imagine that some random freeware anti-virus program protects their system properly. Why start telling people they are idiots for using shit, when they arent really complainin about it and are happy using their crap? Being all douchey about it, is also not a sign of a mature individual.

Old school people could also prefer not to use addons...I don't except for my AVG plugin, and eye candy for strategus.  And IE is pretty similar to any other web browser, but like someone already said, and I agree with, IE is more vulnerable to viruses, and I don't like how long it takes to load when I launch it.  I don't like how long it takes to load a blank web page.  The only time I use it is when I need to, for Microsoft branded web products such as CRM, Sharepoint, etc.

My wife still uses IE, and I still make fun of her for it, but at the end of the day, it's not going to make much difference what web browser you use (most people don't use addons as far as I'm concerned anyways).

But I do think it's funny, and very indicative of IE not being as competitive, or good of a product as other web browsers, when they are paying money to advertise on TV, to try and get people to use the web browser that comes installed on the operating system most of the end users' are using.

A: wrong

B: Not as true as it used to be

C: Wrong, older version of firefox used to be worse

should read up more on the browser performance reviews

Diggles for me it just came down to performance and the look of the browser.  When I used IE it would take a lot longer to load a blank page than it did in firefox (and way longer to load a homepage).  I also didn't like the look, and I didn't like it defaulting to Bing for searched (which I realize you can change).  And add to that, that it was more vulnerable (due to it being on almost EVERY computer) that it was an obvious choice to not use IE vs Firefox.

You have to admit it looks pretty terrible to be advertising for your web browser that comes pre-installed on the operating system most of the world uses, and points to people being obvious biased against it (whether it's from their own experience, or from the "culture", it has some truth behind the stereotype is has received).

Been using Firefox for at least 6 years, and never had much issues (up until recently, it feels more bloated now, and I don't like some of the recent changes).  Maybe I'll give Chrome a try, used it a few times on a friends computer and it reminded me of earlier versions of FF.

To me there used to be a big difference between IE and Firefox/whatever alternative. But IE has more or less caught up with its competition, since nothing new has really come out. I still thing Firefox is faster but that could be in my head. The only time I use IE is at work or school.

He is making money.. dunno who gives him action, but he buys looms dirtcheap and flip them pretty fast.
Buys for 100 000gold and puts them up on offer for 300K-400K the day after... he is making money.
He is just exploiting the fact that crpgplayers arent the most patient or marketwise group.
He provides liquidity, noone has to jump on his offers.
Litters the market with silly trades, but hopefully there wont be a surge of lowballers.

He has prob made some research and has experience in what sells.
Just check in and make the same offers only for 10K gold more, then the prices will spiral towards real marketprices.
$$$$$Profit$$$$$

This basically. Just trying to make some gold.

Also the fact that IE is advertised should tell you something.

so was chrome for awhile, your point?

IE is still corporate default, so web designers HAVE to design for it.

I havent used IE in a long while , but newer versions arent near as far off of FF/CHrome as people think

To anyone looking for a browser, I'd highly recommend Comodo Dragon. It's Chromium-based, meaning you won't see a gigantic difference compared to Chrome in terms of aesthetics and UI and such. However, the two main draws for me are that it is not affiliated with Google; which to my knowledge does track basically all of Chrome users' browsing. I'm aware that on most sites, Google Analytics does the same shit...but again, there's Google doing that big brother shit. I know they're (almost certainly) not doing it for nefarious purposes, they just want to sell you shit, but it's the principle of the matter to me. Secondly, it's secure as fuck. I go on all manner of sketchy sites, russian file-sharing ones included, and I've not got a single bit of malware doing it. Nothing can stop you from downloaded and running hotchickgetsrammedfrombehind.exe, but Comodo does protect you from invasive malware otherwise. Oh; and it seems faster than Chrome and FF to me. They've got their own DNS servers that you can use to make shit go fast like sanic. Maybe it's just skewed perception on that though; never looked at any browser benchmarks including Comodo.

Oh, and I'm not getting paid for posting this. Wish I was.
