NA 10v10 Weekend Pickup Game 8/11

So I miss the old school days of multiplayer shooters were community would organize and put together pick up games, so we're going to have a throw back here if there is enough interest.

CAPTAINS
Even if you arent attending you may nominate anyone who plans to attend as a CAPTAIN of one of the two teams.  When the pickup game starts, captains will pick from available signed up players to their team.

ADMINS
We could use 3 people (with good reputations) that would like to volunteer to be admins for this event and possibly for the server in the future.

CAMERAMAN & ANNOUNCER
Would love for someone to record video for the event and even someone with that camera guy to act as an announcer.  Might be easier if it was the same person!

VOICECOMMS
Would be good if another clan could also host voice comms so the teams can be on separate servers.  Initially we'll be together until teams are picked.

INPUT
I'd like input as to what you think good rules for a 10v10 would be.  For instance...

Win conditions? Best of 7 rounds? Best of 3 for 2 maps?
What maps?
What sort of rules regarding class balance?  Max 2 spears, archer/xbow, cav, plate armor?
Gear restrictions?
ETC



DISCLAIMER:  Server is NOT connected to database so there will be NO gold or xp.  So you are free to use whatever equipment you want.  Also, server does not have pole stagger/rotation NERF since devs will not allow it on independent servers.

if I'm on, I'll either be on a team, and if not I would totally co-cast with an announcer, if uumdi is on we could totally go back and forth like pro casters

But yeah, announcer is a two-man job if you want good flow.

I can record, it isn't a problem really. I'd just have to download some stuff again. I've casted other games in the past, and i've casted humorously several  cRPG matches before. One that was hilarious was LL vs Dracul. the entire teamspeak was cracking up and loving it as we spectated and I casted (with the random input of jokes from others, it's horrible flat alone)

IF you want a steam: I'd have to set up a flash encoder to stream it though and my bandwidth isn't the greatest is pretty shitty, but I could probably encode and stream at 480p, with a recording of 720p.

I love playing of course, and I want to hop in some PuGs.

let's just set up a channel where people can get together and set up anywhere form 6v6 to 10v10 Pick up games. Make it the same time every night, with special ones that we cast and stuff hahaha.
nothing wrong with small 5v5 matches several times a night and stuff you know.

This Reminds me a lot of the old community scrims we used to have where everybody would say fuck clans and what not and pick two captains and we would have idk about 80 guys split between them and have battles. That was good shit and my favorite one was with Huey leading haha he picked all the cav so we had a massive cavalry charge good shit miss those a lot.


So I'm totally game for this! I vote no restrictions on anything only that people don't be so intent to win that they lose focus on having fun. This is a good idea diggelz
