The Holy Guard is a small order of knights who were once priests and monks, but have since taken up the sword and devoted their lives to the safeguarding of their brothers of the faith, the innocent, and the downtrodden.The Holy Guard is a cRPG clan based around group gameplay and comradery. The Order is mostly casual and is more concerned with enjoying and progressing in combat skills and teamwork than in any other ends. The ultimate goal of the Order is to create a small group of individuals that can play cRPG together in good fellowship and team play. The ideals of chivalry and decent behavior are paramount in both its internal and external relations. The Holy Guard shares the mentality of the musketeers - “All for one, and one for all”, and members of the Order should always have the back of other members.
-- The Gaming Group -- The founding members of The Order come from a long standing gaming group that has been together since 2003 and has played through many games of different genres over the years - but we welcome new members that find our codes of conduct and group mentality appealing!
The Order is not necessarily only a cRPG clan, since the group is tight knit and no disruptive influences are allowed to remain, members of the clan will most likely hang out even when playing other games as well.

login:: ORDER RULES OF CONDUCT ::
*MEMBERS REPEATEDLY BREAKING THESE CODES WILL BE SWIFTLY DEMOTED OR REMOVED FROM THE ORDER*
(Rules apply internally to other Order members and externally to other clans and the cRPG public)
Main Tenants:
- No abusive trolling
- No extraneous griefing
- No slandering
- Be helpful to others
- Be cordial to others
"Turning The Other Cheek"
As a general rule - try in all cases to not retaliate immediately against someone who is griefing, trolling, or otherwise infringing on you.
If the issue continues and aggressive retaliation is the only option, then do so.
"Choose Thy Words Wisely"
As combatants we are drawn to fiery actions and with those can come fiery words.
As priests though, we are sworn to uphold a code of conduct...and to choose our words wisely.
For that reason members of the Holy Guard are strongly encouraged to use ALLCHAT sparingly while on the servers.
- If you do communicate in allchat - try to keep it short and positive
- Avoid excessive complaining (about imbalances of teams or weapons or builds, etc)
- Avoid participation in arguments - its not worth it. No one wins in internet arguments.
Internal Order Guidelines :
The Holy Guard is to be treated as a brotherhood. Within our internal communications (voice, forums, etc) members of the Order are expected to treat each other with respect. As with all brotherhoods, there will be plenty of friendly harrassment and jesting among the members, but levels of this from any member(s) that create uneasy environments in voice chat or on the forums will NOT be tolerated and "problematic" members will be removed. Members are expected to work together, help each other, and generally look out for the well being of all other members.
Combat Guidelines :
- Members of the Holy Guard should not "turn tail and flee" from combat, however, strategic retreats are condoned as long as they are used to regroup and return to combat.
- Members of the Holy Guard should fight objectively where necessary. IE - In siege, fight generally towards the flag, or in general defense of the flag and chokepoints. Do not spawn camp or otherwise fight far outside of the main flow of the objectives.
- Do not play troll classes while a member in the Holy Guard. Should be self explanatory.
- The Order encourages its members to be somewhat balanced combatants. (This does not mean being a "balanced" build, but the Order frowns upon the truly extreme strength or agility builds)
- The Order does not encourage the use of crush through weapons or dedicated throwing, but recognizes that it is a necessary element in some cases.
- The Order has an armory which it draws its equipment from (see below in this post). If you would like to wear something else, ask and as long as it is not far outside the equipment style, it will probably be allowed. Our helmets are somewhat of a signature, so the use of those is rather encouraged.

login:: SCRIPTURE & READING :: Ephesians 6:10-18
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil...
Take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Stand therefore, having your waist girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
St Michael the Archangel

loginAbout Knightly Chivalry :
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Chivalry, or the chivalric code, is the traditional code of conduct associated with the medieval institution of knighthood. It originally pertained to individual training and service to others. Over time its meaning has been refined to emphasize more ideals such as knightly virtues and honour, in addition to the martial aspects of the tradition.
The Knight's Code of Chivalry was a moral system that stated all knights should protect others who can not protect themselves, such as widows, children, and elders. All knights needed to have the strength and skills to fight wars in the Middle Ages. Knights not only had to be strong but they were also extremely disciplined and were expected to use their power to protect the weak and defenceless. Knights vowed to be loyal, generous, and "noble bearing". Knights were required to tell the truth at all times and always respect the honour of women. Knights not only vowed to protect the weak but also vowed to guard the honour of all fellow knights. They always had to obey those who were placed in authority and were never allowed to refuse a challenge from an equal. Knights lived by honor and for glory. Knights were to fear God and maintain His Church. Knights always kept their faith and never turned their back on a foe. Knights despised pecuniary reward. They persevered to the end in any enterprise begun.
The main vow from the knights was that they shall fight for the welfare of all.
"The source of the chivalrous idea, is pride aspiring to beauty, and formalized pride gives rise to a conception of honour, which is the pole of noble life."
