In my opinion it isn't bad
Its simple mistake because I DO NOT believe then someone can make soooo huge mistake.
Maps are retarded, too much cav maps, no place to hide, sometimes there are only bushes around and a lite bit water sometimes village with little hobbit houses and open field around, there are good maps but..
most of them are retarded,
just give me place when I can be semi save from cav or ranged for 10 sec pls, I am getting sick because of that maps, but wait is general discussion topic soo what is your opinion?

In my opinion we need open plains but village and city , camps we need them more in equal amount for all of them.

sorry for spieling and grammar.

Another day every other map was random plains. And maps between them where not great.
We need back more of those city / big village maps which offer something to all builds. Open plains maps are just for cav and archers and we have too many of those.
Earlier we had lots of great maps in rotation but they have once again disappeared. I guess they got removed because cav players qmd them, which is sad. This makes me wonder that casting votes to maps through qmu/qmd has failed badly. Of course I can be wrong and everybody loves open plains because they supposedly "increase" teamplay.. :) Have not seen lots of that in EU1.

i heard qmd/qmu is disabled and doesnt affect map cycle at all

Battle needs to have some cavalry maps, since siege is so hostile to horses.

Yeah and somehow always when I play with my main it's always a streak of village and town maps where I can't really live to the full potential of my build... Well I can always go on foot, but I'd enjoy more cav maps :).

Almost every map favours cav now.. So more please.. yep yep. More Dune, Random Plains, Field by the river, Random Steppe and so on. :)
I wish they would add some siege maps to battle. I don't mind some plains here and there. But more versatility would add more fun to all players.

Map rotation is kinda bad I agree, but sometime it comes up with alot infantry maps in a row and sometime alot of plains map in a row. It would be great if all maps get added together, so many maps are gone from map rotation so if all those maps get added together we will have tons of maps on the map rotation instead of just around 20 maps where it is the same shit everytime

Blame the shuffle gods!

But in all seriousness, the maps are pretty evenly distributed between Village, City and Open type maps (a bit less city maps then the rest). I will be going through the maps in the coming week, probably remove a couple of open type maps, feel free to suggest which one

Again, no one does the actual rotation, the maps are all shuffled. And the rotation is about 70 maps.
Monkeys!

too much cav maps? are you fucking kidding me? I run into invisible borders on every second map because somebody thought "oh well, we'll leave some foliage back there...but you cant go there...and the border will be...meh...HERE"

This is something I've complained about a lot.
Map makers need to make borders visible.

Or maybe all maps can be made visible by having a red line marking all borders.

City maps like that riot in swadia are not for ranged, only for infantry because you cannot avoid melee cluster fuck, and there is no way to escape from it. Space is too narrow, ranged people cannot shoot well because team mates are in their way, and HA/ HT sucks extremely hard on those maps, on moutains map while infantry are fighting archers can stand on top and shoot to enemy more accurately,  Maps with lots of cover/ spaces+ moutains + trees + hills is good for ranged, maps where no hills, trees, flat map is good for cav.

Blame the shuffle gods!

+1 for removing some open maps, but you said there is 70 maps on rotation i don't really see that. Pretty much playing the same kind of maps everyday and its around 20-30, never thought it was 70 though. Maps with tons of trees cause alot of fps issues, i do hope the rotation will have more maps instead of replacing some, because its very very boring playing same shit everyday. Wouldn't mind if there is 140 maps in rotation, should be fun

also don't forget HX/ HA/ HT, not everything is about lancers

Yeah do you know that map where there is only a bridge, forest on a hill and somekind of caravan behind the river? That forest is absolute horror to cavalry. I keep finding map edges all over the place.

Would it be possible to set up the rotation as follows:

1 Infantry bias map
1 Cav bias map
1 Range/infantry bias map
1 Random map
Repeat.

This would avoid the current rotation issues we suffer from sometimes were you get several cav or infantry maps one after another.
Smooth is the admin NA deserves. Not being that much better, EU deserves Thomek.
