You all do realize that implementing that hilt damage goodie will require massive re-balancing to every melee weapon, right? I don't have an opinion about the thing showed in that video yet. I do think it's a really cool show off about cmpx's skills in programming, but it needs a lot of testing, balancing and consideration. It also would make more sense when looking from realism point. And last but not least, it doesn't remove the hiltslash. If it weakens polearm hilt slash it should be done to 2h as well.
One of my concerns is that facehugging shielders could become a serious problem. Shielders would just facehug to avoid the shield breaking bonus from the axe head. Then all the axemen would only become "s" key heroes whenever a shielder approaches.
