Server-crash

The server crashed today when chaos was down to 100 tickets and restarted so we had to redo the entire battle...

Can someone look into the logs what happened so we know what we can do to prevent this from happening again?

Confirmed. We also APPEAR to have been given the XP for the first fight in addition to the second fight for the same village.

Hey now, hey now don't get too busy with stealing my xp :D

But yeah, it was/is a pain when this happens. I think it was the third time it's happened in a battle I've been involved in... maybe I'm bad luck...

-----

In other fountains of nonsense. It did result in a pretty good tactical maneuver by chaos to knock out forward spawn. I blame about a half dozen things for why it happened like it happened but it was a good move that was well executed so props :D

Server crash:
31/07/2012 20:50:58 (8:50:58 PM) <---- the one you are talking about

another crash occurred three hours later at

31/07/2012 23:36:41 (11:36:41 PM)

These are regular crashes that will keep happening from time to time until the new server software is used.
Glad you guys at least got the XP.

While you're updating the new server software for NA, are you guys going to find out what's crashing the site in general?

Too bad had to replay it when one side had already had pretty much a certain win.  Instances like that need to be called with no replaying match

I doubt anyone's complaining about the XP, I wasn't there, so I dont' know how either battle went.  But if the first battle is a route for the attackers, and then it's replayed the defenders win, or kill a lot more of the attackers the 2nd time around, I'd be pretty pissed off if I was an attacker (or vice versa).

or in this case when we lost our forward spawn first thing that happened in the second battle. Not to mention we barely had any time to prepare for the castle siege because of it. :|

We really tried to delay the naked TkoV fight between village and siege fights (as we were also still working on our roster), but the attackers were just too hell bent on murdering us.

Yeah but there was more at play with that than just maneuver by chaos. I must not have made my self clear because I asked 14 people to bring 4 con mats but after they had all been added we had 26 left and 3 of us had to run up and down the hill.

If everyone had brought the mats then we would have had none in reserve and the forward spawn would have been up in under 20 seconds.

Also both times I loaded into the battle it fucked up my spawn and I had to leave and re-enter. On the first one I had to do it 3 times before it would give me gear and on the second one it said it had given me gear but then I spawned naked.

Anyway I had fun riding around on a horse so weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Gave to order to kill rather than spawn cap and take your time.

Nude versus low tier weapons...can't last forever. We TRIED to delay it. Perhaps had the other side mentioned it, we could have just stood there for 5-10 minutes doing nothing so rosters could have been done.

IMO chaos should have just pushed to cap the flags on the second battle. Only real way to neutralize all the range that hosp had.
