Lost all my gold

I am pretty new on the strat map and i dont really know how to play on it.
For the last two weeks i was in shapeshite and recruited troops. I had around 11000 gold. Today i logged into strat and i was a bit outside of the town and had 0 gold.
So what happened?
Is there any kind of log or something?

You don't pay rent if you sit outside of the town but you do pay for troop upkeep

Also villages have a terrible recruitment chance, you should be crafting in villages (the % chance of crafting per hour goes down the more people are crafting).  But starts at 100% in villages.  Recruiting troops in villages is terribly lower however.  Crafting in castles is usually like 10%, but recruiting starts at 100%.  Cities are useless for crafting/recruiting.

hummmm odd, the fee for Shapshte is only 3 gold something seems strange about that.

Yeah, it went down from around 11000 to 0 in less than 24 hrs. Seems very strange to me too.

how many troops did you have?

Around 120, but in the days before the gold disappeared i had at least 100 troops and the goldsink was very slow.
