We get loads of foxes around where I live, they just run around screeching at night. I think that a lot of BBC programmes add in the screech on night scenes in woods too, just a random thing for you there.
But yeah, the things are loud, I prefer to sleep with my window open but some nights you just can't for the noises outside, and they're on the other side of the house down the road!
