You either want to be on the first page, or the last page to get yourself noticed. Most people read the first one, and most people read the last one. Regardless of that, I only applied because I thought I could do a good job, I failed at the developing side of things but I still love the mod and wish to give something back. I know that sounds quite cheesy, but I can't help through donations and when I applied to help with the developing, I had more free time on my hands. A half arsed excuse I'm sure, but that's the truth of the matter.
Moderating a forum, even the cRPG one, doesn't call for taking too much time out due to the fact that I keep up with what goes on anyway, and therefore, I would merely be clicking a few extra buttons given a situation that doesn't follow the guidelines.
