Repair Castles after sieges

Subject says it, when the attackers use catapults and take down most of the walls they should definitely have to pay to fix it. If they don't fix it then the castle stays damaged for the next battle it has.

On top of this request all castles should have working gates so it adds a different approach to the castle instead of putting a hole in the wall

Good idea. Whoever holds a castle and has the troops and equip, should also be able to have the money and money income to repair the castle for a serious amount of gold.

Should also take a few days to fix the damages.

That way armies can try and attack again before the damages are fixed.

the only problem i see with this is if ppl start doing a quick siege of 200 men with catapults so that the castle then repairs itself before the main wave so it has less money for gear

Fuck working gates...makes sabotage too easy.

The castle repair suggestion however is totally reasonable and realistic.

well if the gates were being opened to let in the enemy then that will issue a ban, but instead then defenders can use it to either sally out in force or send out cav

I would like to see working gates.

That being said allow the commander of the team select other commanders who can also open the gate. Anyone can close a gate.

That was you can only be betrayed, not sabotaged.

the reason this is a great idea, is because defenders have to weigh whether or not they will sally out to attack catapults.  So instead of just entire armies of STR gorilla juice heads in PLATE, there would be a purpose for cav & light agility skirmishers in these large sieges

Would be a waste of money. Defenders would demolish such a puny army with a sally, or even a field interception right outside.

That seems like it could be tactically very smart, and should be do-able.  To prevent this, the attackers would have to sally out.

I think overall this is a great idea.

They could only sally out if all gates were to become workable. Otherwise they are jumping off the walls and are wasting ticks

Don't you still need a certain number of people in order to attack, or was this changed recently?
