Changing 5x5 key

I have M&B: Warband steam version. This version have 5x5 keys instead of 4x4. Now I want to change this 5x5 keys to 4x4 on Taleworlds web so I can install nonsteam version.

In my cRPG account I have lots of money and lots of items in inventory. If I change steam key(5x5) with different one (4x4) will I can still use my cRPG account or Is my account related to the current steam 5x5 key.

is it perhaps possible to take screens of all your chars and then have chadz remake them after changing?

If you change your key you will lose everything unless chadz personally helps you, which I doubt.

You don't need screenshots, just the old cd-key, all it needs to be done is replace the old cd-key with the new one in the DB, but chadz is the only one who can do it.

Ok I see. And I thought so. My cRPG account is related to my steam 5x5 key.

When I decide to replace the key with 4x4 I will start all over again and that's it.

I just successfully installed the M&B Warband without Steam.
In steam (at the picture under the number 3) is your 4x4 key for Warband.
Copy it - delete the M&B in the steam - download the latest version from the Taleworlds site and install it with 4x4 key that you get from steam.

I buy boxed version of M&B Warband, witch was actually steam version with 5x5 key.I personally do not like steam and when I saw that it was possible to convert the  5x5 key to 4x4 that cheer me up.
In the meantime, I discovered (in the picture above under number 3) the fact that you steam give you 4x4 key.
So I did not even converted to taleworlds site but I installed with 4x4 key that I was offered by steam and at the end all work even cRPG account.

Just take the 4x4 key Steam provides you and put it into the M&B you get from the TaleWorlds forum.

Steam's "Show CD-Key" option gives me the 5x5 key. My problem is that these two(4x4 one I got using the talewords converter -  it's their way of fixing the sale problem) keys are treated as if they were different. Which means that I have different "accounts" when playing with the 5x5 or 4x4 key.

Well then you would have to talk to chadz about transferring your stuff over and I don't think he has time for that. Just keep playing with your Steam, I will have to do the same.
