I enjoy all music, I just find it funny that you'd make a separate thread just because you don't like a few types of music. And most of the Gorillaz music can be classified as hip-hop. And yeah, Goldfish, and Fatboy Slim are both electronica "techno" groups.
Just saying.
To me techno is what you hear (heard) on the Love Parade, that always repeating "NZ! NZ! NZ! NZ!" stuff. Not things like these, which have real vocals and rephrains and everything. Yes, the songs contain electric music, but I wouldn't go so far and call them techno. And I can't remember me posting the hiphop songs of the Gorillaz. Although I don't like metal it would have been perfectly okay to post "Nothing else matters" from Metallica, because this song isn't really metal either. Despite the fact that Metallica is a metal band.
And in the other topic it was said that like 90% of all people on forums listen to metal, and when you are NOT a metal fan or techno or hiphop, you can be lucky if you have a full 1% of all posted songs (in the ordinary music topics) remaining which at least fall into the genres you are listening to. Let alone that you find something you didn't know before but really like on the first listening
So why not opening a topic about a special kind of music one enjoys? Would you say something if someone opened a metal only thread? Or hiphop only? Just because I have the negatively sounding formulation of "but no XXX music" it doesn't mean my topic is narrow minded, if anything, the opposite, because all other genres are allowed. I like (classic) rock, hard rock, pop, soul, blues, gospel, classic and many other genres. (Jazz is okay, but nothing great, though).
But just minusing me despite the fact that I needed about two hours to get that list together and posting nothing but a trollish comment instead of just ignoring the topic if you don't like it is not really... well... kind, to say it that way...
