I don't see crpg getting a influx of new players just because the grind is better or gone. The grind is definitely part of what turns people away but I don't see how getting rid of it or greatly easing the grind will get and keep new players.

Besides, what level advantages? A lvl 15 player can kill a lvl 34 player.

But if you have something different in mind besides levels and retiring, why not suggest something? Or link to a thread where you did since you seem to have something in mind.

I've aready posted suggestion for faster leveling and higher level cap (level 40). That is also hard level cap (same for everyone).

cmp thinks it is bad idea.

If it was up to me, I would leave it at 30xp but remove the cap. That also makes it more appealing to continue retiring past gen 16. Not to say I wouldn't mind if they made it 100 :)

Fair enough. But 100 xp at the current cap with gen 16 being the cap is 1500 xp. That being said I wouldn't mind no cap on 30 xp either. 2.5k at x1.. ahh that'd be awesome.

Yeah, I don't think the grinders should be getting 8-10k+ xp at a x1 like dan, guardian, kesh, etc got before the gen bonus nerf. 30 isn't really going to break the game too much, but still reward those that like to play a lot and retire.

Also, you are gen 51?

lets do the maths. if 8,700,000 xp is needed for level 31 (1 gen), and you get 1450xp per x1 tick, its 6000 minutes, therefore 100 hours of x1 playing time (with 5 hours a day, thats 20 days, casual playing makes it possible in a month).
And to be fair most people usually have around x2 all the time. I usually have something between x2 and x3

It's about a week or two to reach the current end point of leveling, before it gets very slow by design. How much faster does it need to be?

Oh no, I'm gen14. I meant 2.5k xp at x1 with 100 xp per gen would be awesome when someone is gen 16. I'd have 2.3k if they went back to 100 per gen. Was a bit confusing to have that statement right after the no cap on 30 xp. My bad.

This would be the most noob friendly solution. Or maybe only leave STF characters in the game. No retiring.

With the current gold system you would be able to buy full plate after a day of grinding  :wink:

Nah. I'm playing as peasant for last 4 gens and it's not that fun. Also peasant wars in strat aren't fun.

How bout devs could have a drawing each week where all vet players are put into it and whoever is picked gets his character deleted and all his stuff taken and given to a feeble helpless noob.  Game needs to be about getting everything with no effort. Also noobs should have double the stats as vet players so they can compete.
