There are so much sorts of Metal that you cant generalize it, from soft over hard till mad, something for everyone.. :)

No. There is one type of metal and it is Heavy. That "soft" shit is what you call a Hairband, not a Heavy Metal band.

I'm not hardcore, but you should at least know what you are talking about!
