Simply remove all fiefs from strategus and let players build them like this

All of those buildings should be destructible during sieges to prevent abusing them. The cost to build them could be just money or if taken one step further, resources such as wood, stone etc. You could also have two different tiers of buildings; permanent (higher efficiency but you couldn't move them) and tents buildings (lower efficiency but you could pack them) which would allow those rogue bands have their little fiefs too, especially if they were very hard to see normally on strategus map unless you are in the faction. Also allowing to burn the fief when you conquer it would not only generate a lot of drama but a real incentive to defend them instead of just leaving them empty like now.
Advantages
- No more not enough fiefs -complaints since everyone can just build one
- Strategus map can be easily changed since you don't have to think about making new scenes for every new fief
- Even the smallest clans can have their own fief
- No more abusing AI fiefs in any way
- We can have truly unique castles and cities
- Allows more roleplaying
