Not sure if anyone realizes this, but upkeep on heirloomed items is the same as upkeep on the normal version of the same item.

Example:

I have a Masterwork Long Espada Eslavona. After the hot-fix, it's been broken and repaired for 401 gold.

Using the figure of repair cost = 5% of base value, 401/0.05 = 8020.

Which is about the cost of a normal Long Espada Eslavona, 8026.

Retired characters allready have lost everything :

Xp bonus severely reduced
no more wpf bonus
they paid for something that is free now

And now they must pay more for heirloomed items...

It's not about the price of repairs , it's about people who've spent weeks to retire and heirloom the stuff they wanted , and now that the game is almost completely changed, they deserve the right to repick their heirlooms. Otherwise they are forced to grind and retire all over again . Afaik that's not what chadz wanted us to do (grind) in the first place.

I wasn't addressing that point.

People like me that would like to change heirloom is because of the upkeep on high tier weapons.

I have a tempered flamberge that would cost me around 800 alone (If what you say of base cost is true) it's not cheap and I would give the heirloom to another sword if given the possibility.

And people seem to be under the misguided notion that upkeep on heirloomed items costs more than upkeep on the normal version of those items.

I would like to see some sort of heirloom refund/exchange program implemented as well, I have some heirloomed items that I cannot even touch with the patch.

No they don't deserve to re-do their heirlooms. You already had your moments, now you are still better than gen 1 players as you have option to use said heirloomed items. Stop crying.

Yeah, repicking heirlooms would be nice. I went to full cav, and I have ridiculosly overpriced deadly German Poleaxe which costs 19k.

I support this. Heirloomed items that can't be used suck.

@ UrLuker, I understand a bit of bitterness towards people who put in the time and effort to retire before, when you perhaps did not. However, saying "they don't deserve to repick their items" is immature and childish. Let's not go there.

Crying ? It's actually you who acts like a trouble teenager most of the times. I'm quite happy with my heirloomed items on my both characters. I'm just rooting for people who have been damaged after the patch.

Lol. It's actually you who act like a trouble teenager most of the times.
You made such choices, deal with those. They made their choice, patch was announced way back in the past. They should see it coming, they had their time to exploit their choices.

And you continue yet again with your hostility. Ujin is not the one who writes "fuck you", "bitch", "fuck", "overpowered asshole" after dying in the chat constantly nor does he badmouth players for killing him either. I was hoping your next post would be constructive but alas I expected too much of you. Also, the retirement system was implemented a long time before the patch was announced, in my case for example I had already finished heirlooming all my items before it was announced.
