Hi Punisher,

We'll not be able to make it to the finals, therefor the 4th team should replace us instead and prepare for a nice tough fight, the reason is because most of our best skilled members are Danes and sadly, for some reason all the Danish people have 150 ping for some reason (Do you know why?).

It's just a waste of time for us then. ;-)

I talked to Odin about this, the reason is a node between the danish ISP's and our server. Do a traceroute on fallenbrigade.org and you will see there is packet loss on atuin.rzone.de server. This packet loss combined with slower connections leads to the problem. Sadly it can only be fixed by changing our hoster, and I don't think it will happen soon.

Sorry for the delay on our part it was all very last minute. Glad we did it though it was a good experience.

However, we might have to refrain from participating in the future due to a core of our players having ping ~130 to the Fallen Tournament server. It was pretty much unplayable for them - and they're all from Denmark with proper Internet.

Where is the server hosted anyway?

The server is hosted in Germany. Next tournaments might be on Shogunate server to avoid this problem, we shall see.

Also SoA will fight instead of Risen tomorrow, they are in the same group, and Turks already had their chance and lost the duel.

Lies and deceit, I was certainly not flabbergasted! I explained, with explicit detail to an annoyed TS-crowd, how the german backbone worked in the past when it comes to other countries, and how it's still not completely fixed ten years later. 

The connections aside, a very good tournament. Cudos to Punisher for running a tight show, and most of the people behaving a notch above baseline simians. Quick and clean for the most part (read the rules before the tournament, pretty please). And good fun as always, already looking forward to the next one. Cheers.

Ty for tournament, again.No laggs...but - great trobbles with ping.In same server, previous match(#4) ping was fine ~ 60, now it's 127!

I'll try to do the next tournament on the Shogunate server to avoid ping problems (the downside is there are only 64 slots), Odin adressed the problem to our hoster but we don't know if/when it can be fixed. The long term solution would be changing the hosting, but I doubt it will happen anytime soon.

On a serious note, it was Saturday because I want to do it all in one weekend, and doing 2 sessions of qualifiers + finals on Sunday would have been too much.
