The whole discussion is just ridiculous.
There were good arguments for the giraffe bull to be killed and they acted like a lot - maybe even all - zoos around the world.
The public dismemberment... well, something you can argue about if it's appropriate for children but according to newspaper articles I have read, they show dissections of wolves, rats and other animals during holidays in museums in town too. Those are one of the biggest attractions for the people and children are those who ask most of the questions.
When parents take their children to such an "event" - blame the parents if you think it's bad but don't blame the zoo for just offering a service.
And nobody complains about rats and mice being bread for the sole purpose of being snake food... it's just completely stupid to get such a shitstorm going about this.
