Undeniable proof that it is very realistic that you can spin and attack at 22 seconds into the video.

If that amateur can do something like that with a longspear, I'm pretty sure a level 5+ lifelong weapon master of the art would more than be able to do the same.

Not to mention there was this topic where the majority of players voted they wanted the nerf gone.

I think this is a pretty open and shut case.

Did I mention these mechanics have been in the mod for the better part of 3 years and nobody complained until a few polespinners started going to town on people who didn't know how to block down?

You do know that a red tassel spear like that weighs like 1/30th of what a pike does right?

EDIT: Not to hate on your point, it would be great to limit it to certain weapons but apparently its impossible.

I would much rather see removal of jump attacks on polearms maybe instead?

Yeah, good luck putting any sort of strength behind your fancy red tassel spear spinning that's only used as form and not for actual fighting.

Also have fun getting stabbed mid-spin because you fuckin' love showing your back to the opponent.

We so need the whirlwind.
It will be like an uneffective feint, just used to show off, with no attack animation behind, and that lasts for 2sec at least.

Would just like to point out that the turning speed nerf has not stopped spin thrusts on pikes and longspears at all (or for that matter even had much of an effect on them). It just screws over every other weapon.  :lol:

Wrong. Just wrong.

Really? I've been getting spin thrust kills all day every day with my pike.  :wink:

The only time the nerf bothers me is when I try and use my sidearm or any other 4D weapon. Overheads and thrusts on those are a pain in the ass now.

If you mean with 2 handers then yes. Pikes and longspears, however, are still very capable of using helicopter attacks.

We probably just have a different definition of the helicopter-lolstabbing. My guess is it wasn't as bad on NA as it was on EU.
