But I beleive not all of NA agrees on the same thing. Neither does EU.

Too true.  But I'd definitely wager NA players prefer the competitive rules pre nerf-storm.

It would also give people a chance to make the decision on what rules they'd actually prefer to play by.

I have a distinct feeling the continuation of unnecessary nerfs would drive players to steadily abandon that style of governance.

To be honest, I'd probably play on NA more if this came to be. Not that it has any chance.

Fracturing the mod in this way simply isn't an option.

Also game balance shouldn't be used for making that annoying class less popular. If game balancing did less of this, EU and NA differences in weapon and class popularity wouldn't matter.

Honestly I just think Americans like a more competitive playstyle and would prefer not to have their mechanics watered down to appeal to a few vocal EU players, who whined after having their day ruined by a polespinner, until the balancers decided to cave to unreasonable cries.

Americans like competition.

I don't see why we should have our mechanics held hostage by a different culture every time a few people get upset that somebody beat them.

Seems pretty stupid to me.

I generally don't mind the nerfs of the last 8 months to a year, but I would have preferred if they didn't nerf classes and equipment and instead focused on other things to spend their time on.  But then the balancers would be out of a job.

I do really like the idea of going and retweaking every weapon individually and for example on pole-axe type weapons, adding blunt damage if you swing short of the end of the weapon (and it would obviously be low blunt damage).

I still really love c-rpg, and can't get enough of it, but I'd prefer less nerfs overall.  I have thought for a year, and still do to this day, that the game is really well balanced between the classes, and nothing in the game is overpowered to the point of needing a nerf.  99% of the time something is "overpowered" is because people are not correctly countering it. 

Players, take responsibility in your own hands. I have faith in your ability to figure out what can counter a class, equipment or tactic by the enemy, without needing the developers to intervene on your behalf.

Honestly, I think we could leave the game as it was 3 months ago and it would still be vastly better than anywhere the game would go in the future; especially if these recent patches are any sign of a continuing trend.

So yeah, this works just fine for me.

Trust me, we're used to getting teased.  It doesn't matter to us.

It's kind of like your little brother you saved from getting beat up, all throughout high school, trying to give you a hard time so he can build his self esteem back up a bit.

The only thing we don't like is having the things we enjoy get ruined without having any say in the matter.
