Battalion banner should have the same texture as the player's banner

I don't know if this has been suggested before. It probably has.

Anyway, wouldn't it be cool if the battalion banner had the same texture as the player's banner?

That is, if your character uses a faction banner (or any other banner) that banner should also be used as battalion banner.

There could be 2-6 battalion banners with the same texture though... so that problem needs some kind of solution. Any ideas?

And for multiple identical banners: Maybe only make the last banner heraldic and the others stay as they are.

No, the purpose of the battalion system is for clans to organize their ranks, not to have a flag above your head with your heraldry on it.

The battalion system also covers simple commands in the game. "Go to that hill" is setting the battalion flag to said hill.

Commanders were able to do that even back then and removing current flag operation would need a replacement in place, lest we diminish good functionality just for on-screen realism. Practically some kind of marker to be put down. Which is exactly what we have already.
