New server, old problem

Everything was smooth until few weeks ago then it started again:

LAG

Ping is the same, my connection is the same as it was when you've upgraded both server software and hardware. But it lags, a lot, all the time, not just in evening like before.

Who's fault is that? Can you investigate what's happening?

Old maps fault maybe? I don't like Vagabond and I'm not a fan of Chagan's maps but these old maps, although very refreshing are full of glitches and bugs. It that the reason for rubberbanding?

I had the same problem for a while.

Was always setting my graphic-settings lower because I thought it was because of it.
Then one day I maxed everything and saw: constant >120FPS. (Except in Strategus-Ultra-Cities, but thats another story)

Try to max your settings.

I'm talking about rubberbanding and no, it has nothing to do with fps because when they tested new server with 245 players I had 10-18 fps but no net lag.

I believe it's because of the very high number of horses and extra bolts flying everywhere.

That's the only thing that changed compared to before, so they're obviously at fault.

I never have any issues. Doesn't seem to much of a server problem to me. I get the occasional rubber banding when riding but that's simply the same old horse lag that has always been around.

My ping is actually lower, stable 45-50 (was 65-120 before when server was near full). Before there was a lot of lag. But that magically got fixed by itself with EU1_NEW.

But now it's back and it bothers me because I know better. It's hard to go back to worst, I can play under heavy lag but I want everything to be like in those few, lagless weeks.

And I wouldn't open this topic if I was sure it's only me. I've heard many people complaining.

It happens on all servers, even on DTV. Blocks not registering, Swings going clean through people, swing animations not showing up, getting hit by swings that missed you by one m, first getting hit then seeing the animation, hitboxes floating 1m in front or behind enemies for ranged, walking through each other, rubberbanding and teleporting, projectiles flying through people a lot. As far as I remember it all started with the last patch to this extend.

Cmp said something about clients and servers not being synchronized, I dont know whether he was referring to a general issue that has always been there or if he was referring to something that happened with the last patch. Its making the game kinda unplayable some times.

It's fairly simple, people start complaining because they need excuses. When they see others complaining about the same thing they automatically assume they're legitimately complaining about an actual issue when they're just following in your footsteps. It's a sub-conscious circle jerk.

Nothing is wrong with the performance and any lag you notice is probably clientside. There is no logical reason for such a problem to surface, and if you have nothing better to do than complain about phantom problems maybe you should go back to your break.

No offense, but don't try to find what isn't there.

Maybe you should do something stupid again. You're far more intellegent when you're muted.

Son, I am disappoint.

Really, Leshma. Woke up with a thorn in your ass? I was actually making a valid argument and you resort to that behaviour.
