High five ppl.,

Recent turnspeed buff is enducing reytsch.
1h, poles, 2h...all have to deal with a slow turning stab and overhead.
(I am fine with that).

Though, general skill has improved...what about a new challange...?

By...

implementing a temp buff for turningspeed after a chamber?

1. You EARN your turnspeed (risky)
2. You can switch targets when fighting +2 enemies
3. You can counter lance cav
4. Would encourage ppl. to chamber more
5. Would give this mechanic more sense
6. Ppl. get a reliable overhead and stab in case they got timing

Discuss.

I generally have no problem landing my overhead chamberblocks, though i have missed once or twice due to slow turnspeed. Wouldn't hurt, tbh, +1.

this could be a good option as a buff to chambering.
Also, I have declared myself #1 NA hybrid thrower
Formerly known as Marathon.
As an NA admin, I am the most laid back and concerned with the ~fun of the game~ above all other factors. I've also been super inactive since Summer 2012. University takes most of my time, but I still find some time to play when i can.

Good idea, but hard to implement. Turn speed needs to be synchronized between server and clients, and the latter don't really know when a block/chamber takes place. The server would have to notify them with a network event, but that can't be added without heavy changes to the client software.

Impossible?

I mean....WSE/the coder is powerful :-)

These limitations are.....duh :-(, since ppl. scream for more melee combat depth.....these changes might be considerable for maintaining motivation for the future?

Not impossible, no. It would be easy to add if we had a custom client, but we don't... for now.

Its not like this feature is meant to replace the usual ways of dechuncking ppl.

High pingers usually dont chamber, most low pingers neither.

Why? Risk too high, benefits too small.

About the ping itself...:
The window for succesful chambering is so small, you d feel a small difference in timing, thats it.

General speed of crpg got lowered allrdy to equalize ping difference.


The aim of this idea is to develope a bigger use of this stylish, tricky yet totally underused mechanic.

And if your ping is 120+, go away....its not the fault of a community that deserves new challanges in their beloved mod.

There should be more ways to improve chambering, because
-good players will block 80-90% sideswing chambers which makes it not really a viable option
-chambering 1h weapons is most of the times pure luck
-for hold attacks you can often only guess the time of release, trying to chamber when animation starts is usually too late - depends on weapon speed/enemy etc.
-stab and overhead chambers often miss because of the turn-limit especially with slow weapons or vs fast enemys or both ofc.
-chambering a stab became way harder, since speed has been increased? two months ago I could chamber 90% of non hold stab-attacks, now I hit perhaps 30% - but might be just me^^

right now its mostly high risk for little effort, but its still fun  :D - and yes I try to lobby here

Haha this buff to chambering would idd help u alot ;). Prob Vmega aswell.
