i dont know are they gonna upgrade this engine, make new one from scratch, how will it be etc, but i am hoping for

-having multiple meshes of same type on yourself at the same time
-proper ai path finding and behaviour
-proper physics engine, it would be about bloody time
-general graphical improvment
-a lot deeper and richer battle management
-change from "call of duty" to "battlefield" style of multiplayer

Totally agree. My favourite fantasy species. Centaurs are a close second.

Fantasy sucks anyway.

BETTER SIEGES!!!!

I can look past everything in M&B, but the crap sieges are just soo crap....its incredible ( in single player, the multi sieges arent that bad).
Having your whole army climb only 1 ladder/siege tower at the same time, including yourself is the biggest bullshit ive ever seen in a medieval game. I wanna see catapult bashing walls, hot oil burning guys to the ground, siege rams, ladder placing etc etc etc.

6 attack directions, proper arrow bouncing off armor, and horses not knocking you down when they barely strafe you or ride at slow speed!

warband is like a nice concept for a game, lets hope they really make the proper game with mount and blade 2

From where you want that plus 2 directions?

Upper left, upper right. Could as well have down left, down right swing, making it a total of 8 swings and blocks. That would surely make melee even harder. :twisted:

What Vibe said basicly..

Over shoulder left, shoulder right, overhead, down left, down right, thrust. Basicly thinking that the two side swing directions we have now would be aimed a bit lower, and new added for the over shoulder attacks!

Fully implemented multiplayer world (campaign or like in PWMod, or even both ?). It would make the game really nice, but it would require some other things like others mentioned beore my post, like buying EQ for soldiers. Also, maybe... Kinda randomer type of recruitment like in 1257 AD lance system? In example u go to village and elder says that he believe that there will be 4 strong men (1 or 2h meele), 3 agile shooters (bows xbows throwarms) and dunno what else, in cities surely guys with horses. It should be more categorized,
like:
village: 1h ,2h, polearmers+/- with shield,  bowmen, throwarmers ,light armors.
town: 1h + shield, polearms +/- with shield, xbowmen, cavalry, medium armors.
Castle/Court/Rich district - Truly heavy bad boys with 1h+shield+lance and damn nice horses.

Of course it can differ from factions etc.

Also, tree would be more specified.
For example let it be faction of Calculators ( :p )
Calculator Recruit (V)illager  - Calculator Skirmisher - Calculator javeliner-Calculator bowman
                                          \Calculator light infantry - Calculator blunt carrier-Calculator spearman
                                                                          \Calculator Woodcutter/axeman

I would like better Seige Mode.

Instead of defending some random flag in the middle of a courtyard I would like to defend Keeps and stuff, more indoor fighting.

on taleworlds forum someone said he thinks one of the devs mentioned release date somewhere around 2014.

as you can see the probability that anything from that statement is true, is very weak
