Only if the bodies of dead horses continue to exist for an extra second so that they still hit the person the killed them at point blank range.

just imagine, archer hugging the wall, knowing that if the cav wants to aproach them, theyll have to do it slowly, which means they could shoot down their horses with ease. And now imagine many archers doing it at the same wall at the same time

therefore archers would be untouchable by cav as long as theyd hug some wall

That is how it's suppose to be! There has to be some way to avoid cav, right? The guy charging the archer could just simply go for another target instead.

Na im pretty sure cav will still be pretty nasty, most of their kills are still from backstabbing people out in the open. Cav is the last class that needs compensations for a nerf ;)

Make person die when a horse in full speed colide with archer or some other peon. Make them do dmg when trapling please.

Whats a matter? You are upset cuz you will not be able to couch lance someone riding straight into wall?
Tell me how real is that? Horses are stupid,but not that stupid to ride straight into wall.

I've been cav once out of 8 gens and am currently infantry.  It's quite telling that you automatically assume that someone who disagrees with you must be arguing for their own benefit.

this may be realistic. But we need to remember that this is mount&blade and we shouldnt change that.

I agree with OP, however also:

- make horse corpses (potentially) lethal
- make trample damage more random (chance of kill / incapacitation), with a longer stun when trampled
- lower horse HP by 30-40%, no armour for unarmoured horses
- running into chambered weapon, esp. spear inflicts damage
- subject infantry to some effects of inertia (much slower spastic dodging, etc, changing direction while running harder)
- jumping and attacking for infantry lowers damage to 1/3rd except maybe for jumping frontally with a spear, chance of injuring yourself
- jumping and being trampled increases trample damage 4x
- archers need to stop for a few seconds and catch their breath to shoot accurately
- archery damage increased significantly vs low-armour targets, same vs armoured except helms protect vs headshot / slash / whatever
- gravity increased (affects all ranged)

You know. Something for everyone  :lol:

There are a lot of spots where the same animation takes place.
Not only if a horse runs straight into a wall, also when it hits a piece of wood on the floor, a little fence and even the edge of the map.

But atm its not that unrealistic, like someone else said already, a horse doesnt just run straight into a wall, it has eyes. The fact that it stops and refuses to run into the wall when its about to hit it is realistic, though the animation is a bit crap.

Horses are not CARS for fucks sake , you cannot ride it to a wall in real life...
They are ANIMALS with BRAIN unlike you . So they know how NOT TO crash into a wall or tree .

Make apples a throwing weapon.  Then, when a cav charges you, you throw the apple and the horse chases it and stops to eat it.

Uh daaa, irl warhorses had their eyes covered, so they only see ground, not the walls.
