Move the stab with 1 dircation weps

Im using battleforck and i die aolmsot evreytime because i cant move my stab a bit left or right.....
Why does thie new mechanic apply to polearms too? so i suggest you replace polearm stabs:P

Yup, have fun trying to hit people when all they need to do is sidestep! Maybe you can use the overhead instead.. Oooh wait, it is just as terrible.

Find some other weapon. 2-directional weapons are hopeless. Try long spear or war spear instead.

nono, warspear is just as useless, sideswing doesnt deal any damage anyways, so its about the same.. glaive/lhb would be a better choice.

I don't have idea how to help dedicated hoplites (actually I have but that would require new animations). Maybe it's best to lower the price of those weapons a lot, making them affordable, make them one slot and sheatable so that polearm users can have both hoplite mode for teamwork and dealing with cav and four directional weapon for situations that require them.

Would be awesome buff for polearm class, imho.

Give hoplite leftswing, remove speed/damage penalty and buff warspear to 30 pierce ;)

It is TOO DAMN past according to what we have in cRPG.
Don't tell me "But cRPG has no timezone qq" it has.
If there are no roman armors in game , that's for a reason.

Haha, but hoplite is just a short name for it right now, when i say it i basically mean shield+spear (dont know how you havent understood this yet, thought it was kind of obvious) And im preetty sure shield + spear has been used for a loong time!

You know the term hoplite is just used to describe spear and shield in crpg right? That 95% of medieval armies used spear and shield up until pike & shot... A lot cheaper to outfit people with a cheap spear and shield then it is to forge a full on sword that probably wouldn't even hurt some of the more advanced armors.

If you really want hoplites to be effective, give them an overhead stab(much shorter reach) while removing the speed loss of using polearms with shields and dropping the damage reduction to 10 or 15%

Edit: The battle fork also isn't a peasant weapon, given that it has one of the highest pierce damage stabs of all polearms.
