Just like GW2 and almost every MMO in the last 3 decades, PvP battles consist of standing around and casting. Come on. This is 2012. Real time action combat has already proven to work in an MMO setting yet all these companies default on that shitty EQ system.

Nah it looks nice. And unlike Gay Wars 2 or any other Medieval-ish Fantasy Blah Blah Orcs and Elves and Swords and Bows and ''good ole sorcery magic'' MMO's this looks rather fresh and could be fun.

And i agree a bit with you Bill. It's pretty meh that most new MMO's go down the same path but what are you gonna do meh.

On the MMORPG front only games that might be interesting imo are The Secret World, A Fallout MMORPG or/and possibly a Mass Effect MMORPG (IF and only a BIG IF, done properly).

That's the whole fucking point. GW2 is anything but using the same formula. Yes it has a theme and that's medieval fantasy and that seems to bother you fine, but anything else is just way different than most generic MMOs today.

Just because TSW has a modern theme doesn't make it good.

Even if it got the best combat system to ever grace a MMORPG it still lacks a new refreshing setting (not shitty generic MMO fantasy lore crap) and it looks like it will still be a bland 'ur characters story development won't matter and ur just a generic guy who follows the same footsteps everyone else does' thing.
