Been playing alot of Ao Kuang/Anubis lately.

Both are a blast but i'd still have to say that my absolute favorite is Hades.

I really like him too, but I always end up being killed.

How are you playing him? Tell me a few tips haha

Build tanky, mind who has beads, have support, if they have beads try to bait them with your fear, remember your dash can be used as escape along as a gap closer for ults.

Ult people who don't have leaps and when you have teammates around to take advantage of your ult.

Good items are things that AOE debuff like Mystical Mark and Void Stone, these are probably two very strong items after your reinforced boots.

If you die to stuns as any hero, get Beads.  If you are dying to a clusterfuck of big ults, get Aegis.  Both are very good, and basically OP if used intelligently with their 60s cooldowns.

Hide of the Nemean Lion would be great against a lot of auto attackers as a third item, Silverfox Girdle is the best item for pure HP after you have good resistances.

Hades is the only hero I would recommend building lots of tanky items on, because you are basically a singular gimmick with your ult that can decimate teams, especially if you have people like Zeus, Odin, Ymir, Agni, etc to take advantage and do tons of AOE.  These all make excellent laning partners.

As far as skills go I usually go in this order.

Prioritize your Death from Below, Pillar of Agony and Devour Souls. Your standard attacks build blight, which makes all of Hades skills cause a bonus effect to these three benefit the most from blight imo.

Your DFB skill causes blight as well but if the enemy is already blighted they will also be slowed upon being attacked. (This eats up your blight stack though im pretty sure which wont let u get heals off of devour souls when u land it.)

Shroud is really useful for escapes and covering allies but I usually level it up last.

DFB is awesome since it is a blink and essentially a teleport. You travel as an intangible ball of shadows for a second, which makes it great for cutting corners/going through walls.

Being that he's a ranged tank, I usually put reinforced boots up to level 2 before anything else. I'd also get as many mana potions as possible at first. The rest sort of depends on whats you are facing in your lane.

Hide of the Nemian Lion is great for physical damage since it reflects physical damage taken . For Magic id do Void Stone first since it gives magical protection/power and decreases enemy magical protection at level 3.
(click to show/hide)
Sovereignty is an awesome second physical protection item as it gives alot of physical protection to you and your nearby mates. If you want a second mage item go stone of gaia as it gives huge magical protection and health regeneration increases.

In other words go tanky first! Early on you're going to do fuck all for damage regardless until get your Pillar skill. Once you have that, you eat up pretty much any hero aside from Ymir or Odin until mid game.

As far as Damage goes these should be added later on.. But I usually do Rod of Tahuti and gem of Isolation as they give great magical attack power and Gem of isolation slows any enemy hit by one of your magic attacks! I usually wing it on anything after that.

Usually If I get above 5 kills per game im extremely lucky, but Ill have near 20 assists and 1 or 2 deaths!

One last thing id say is that remember that Hades is a tank and battle initiator, not a finisher/killer. A Hades gank usually means u should be getting assists!

Sorry this is so long but i wanted to try and cover everything. Hope this helps!

Edit: Fuck you, Smoothrich

Cheers for the info.

Hades is such a bad-ass, I like him.

"FEAR ME."

Has a really weird playstyle though, he's the god of the underworld for god's sake! (pun intended)

Haven't played/been home for a while but agree if it's the same like when i last played. Usually i won most my matches with him and personally it's easy as fuck defending single lanes and shit with him as well as surprise gank, rape stragglers but he's a bit weird overall. Not your regular God so to speak.

But dammit with that appearance and that voice (Taunt and Laugh best voice commands) what's not to like?

Do you guys use a cooldown% item at all?

I find buying one very handy, especially with something so weird like Hades.

If you want to stomp bads, I strongly suggest Agni, and go mid.  He might get nerfed soon because he's the go to pick for mid in every high level game, except against pro players playing aggressive melees, but most games won't have someone that good in them.

Level your dash first, get reinforced boots level 2 and mana pots.  Every time a creep wave comes, dash across all of them and you will clear the whole wave starting at level one.  The counter to this is to stand in the wave for a second if you are against an Agni, so your creeps all aggro to him and he takes lots of harrass.  But with armor boots, it doesn't matter much.

Get your stun next, and if they are playing poorly just drop your fumes on your dash wave for a 2 second stun.  All your creeps will start hitting him, doing tremendous early harrass and forcing him to turtle tower.

Now you max your nuke, and can repeat the above steps, but throw in your nuke (which also triggers your fumes to stun!) and you will force him out of lane, and this gives you silly maximum reach to stun.

Finally, if you aren't done schooling your scrub opponent mid, you hit 5 and get your ult.  The area is huge, it costs no mana, and it does a ton of damage early.  Do the same steps, but if you catch him good with a stun, drop all dem ults on him for a kill.  If you force him to retreat to tower, you can still easily ult him for a kill.  Almost any mid opponent, once you figure out Agni, will feed you some kills and you get their tower early.

Now go to sidelanes and gank the shit out of them with all the above tricks, utilizing your dash to escape from any danger.  Dash then put fumes behind you to stun any chasers, or do it offensively for tons of DOT.

Gratz, you now know how to stomp games as Agni!

Item build:  Reinforced boots 2 + mana pots.  Warlocks Sash +3 (so easy to farm charges), finish boots, then Obsidian Shard so your ult hits even harder early game.  Gem of Isolation to give all of your abilities a punishing slow, then you get Chronos Pendant (CD reduction) to get stacks of ult quicker, and a Rod of Tahuti to max out your DPS.

He doesn't scale too well with damage into the late game, but your stun provides a ton of utility and you are amazing at finishing people off with big snipes of your ult, pushing lanes, getting jungle buffs (walk the creeps on your path of flames) and generally being a huge pain in the ass to deal with.

Enjoy stomping noobs!

They can be useful, but tbh, I usually find myself either forgoing them entirely or simply getting the cooldown buffs. I usually blow my money on spring and aegis and dont have enough time to buy anything else late game before game over.

Agni seems like someone that makes you jizz in your pants (squirt for Karma) whilst playing. Wish i bought him instead of Anubis...
