Changing alternate char to main char

Hello, i have a question, i asked everywhere in game but they said talk to devs. I deleted my main character, and i have level 30 alternate character. When i retire with alternate character, can i make him my main ? Or i have to create new one ?

Create new, can't make an alt main.
