Longest living clans?

First there was Staffmen.  (recently been revived, but more of a playstyle than a clan.)

Then there were Ninjas, based on the basic principle of Staffmen, just more elaborated. (been active more or less the whole time)

Then Guards and I think Knights of the Roses about the same time. *Rosewoods clan.

Templars also came about this time.

Mercs came later when Gnjus, Olwen and Oberyn decided to start a clan together.

Still lots of oldmy old friends playing this game actively.. proof that it is extremely addictive.

But with knights of the roses dead, I think Ninja and Guards are the oldest continueously active clans.

Staffmen are/were hardly alive, Roses died out a looooooooooong time ago. Did Guards really appear before Templars? I remember that both guards and mercs appeared after the first strategus announcement.

no one cares about fake EU clans. you guys cheated by kidnapping chadz and making him host everything on EU servers for however long before finally relenting and allowing for the glorious Canadians and the not-so-golorious americans to claim the rightful place as most importantest peoples to play crpg. Thus, the oldest NA clans are most important. thanks.

Yes, formed BEFORE the actual thing but after the first announcement about it.

In general WB history (which cRPG invariably is a part of) the first warbands (created in beta, some even before) were IRC, 22nd, Einherjar, CoR and DR (all of which are still alive and thriving). So these were the first clans in cRPG, especially IRC, 22nd and Einherjar members were active in the earliest versions, but not the first clans made specifically for this module.

Lol we've been around since Feb 2010. Certainly not one of the oldest.

Warband release date: 30 march 2010.
cRPG first open alpha/beta release - dunno, first time played in the middle of May 2010.
GK weren't there, LIAR!!!
Some of us (DRZ memebers) played from the very start of open beta of cRPG. We were native clan since release of WB (and forum clan since 2009 ).
DRZ cRPG division being officially opened in September 2010 (or late August) iirc. Too much water has flowed under the bridge since that time, anyway

I've been in Guards since around late August 2010, so I'd guess it was founded in July or somewhere around that. Gotta ask Bane about it, if he'd still be here. But Templols and Ninjas were kinda the first cRPG clans.

Yes, obviously irc:// was the first clan in cRPG, since the whole project began there. We tested the pre-release versions for chadz and were his first admins. The clan hasn't really existed in cRPG for a long time, though. Dunno if the Native branch still plays, since I'm full-time cRPG these days.

Ninjas, Guards, Templars, Mercs... What I know is Fallens are like 1-2 months younger than Templars.

22nd and all the other native clans weren't active in early stages of cRPG "as clans".
