The Great Banner Purge

Thanks to the newest site update, we now have the tools to moderate clans, including banners.
Clans with obvious trolling banners (paint-drawn penises, portrait photos...) will lose their rights to a banner, and will have to purchase them again.
Clans with banners that we deem ugly will have the current banner removed. If they upload the same banner again, they will have their banner rights removed.

There are no specific guidelines about what we consider ugly, but as a rule of thumb you should avoid anything that stands really out of place (photos, fluorescent colors, modern fonts, plastic-looking banners...). If you are unsure whether your banner is acceptable, come ask me or other moderators in IRC.

We will probably establish more banner guidelines as we go, to give people an idea what's ok and what not. That will take time to figure out, though. For those with some, use common sense meanwhile.

Create a forum section for "banner applications".
Set some people to oversee it and act as an approval committee.
People can create threads and post their banners and the committee can tell them if it's okay and if not, why.

Ideally you would have to go through the committee to get your banner uploaded but it could be "optional" in the sense that if you don't run it by the committee, you risk losing your banner.

There are a lot of beautiful and terrible banners in use right now. Maybe you could create an example gallery for users to check what kind of banners are good and what are not?
