Actually, I agree with him.

Seeing americans rage about burning flags is more fun than someone actually burning a flag. One is funny, the other is fairly disrespectful and distasteful especially when done by people who actually mean it.

That is one way to look at it. Germanicus, however, seems to have a thing for this kind of stuff.

Personally, I think burning anyone's flag is stupid. If you don't like a country you want to explain why rationally. Acting like a monkey and attacking symbols rather than substance is pointless (it won't ever change anything) and, of course, shows your fairly low intellectual levels as well as those who cheer for you

Now, don't get me wrong, the US has faults (world police, dur) but this only helps concentrating on idiotic matters rather than said substance.

Americans gonna rage.

Yes, I am sure that Americans not being happy about somebody burning their flag is a grave display of intollerance, HATE!!! and possibly even the dreaded R word. All of the Americans. God damn fatass bastards, AMIRITE FELLOW EDGY GUIZ?

However, I am also fairly certain you believe these guys are NOT a representative sample of their population and, in fact, believing it is also is the r word and hate.

@ Arathian

well,  but to get pissed of about a burned flag shows how low is your self esteem and intilligence to.

cause all in all its just a litle piece textile with some symbols on it. so where is the offence? if you get pissed off then just because you let you getting pissed off which shows you WANT that + real nationalists or good people wouldnt care and stand above those things , but very much americans r to much in it and hyper sensetive. im just saying johny cash he was a nationalist yes but one of the good sort (not only cause he did some awesome piece of music) but he was not that kind like : i have to kill everyone for my country. and im sure if he would be alive he wouldnt care about those things

edit: sorry for bad english but its not that good

They get pissed off for the same reason you get pissed off if somebody would seriously call your mother a cocksucking whore. I mean, it is just a word right? So why get offended?

They, and you, get offended because the flag (or rather, the country it represents)/your mother are dear to them/you and there is no reason to insult them. You might not share their love, that is fine but crudely insulting it for no particular reason when there is FAR more constructive criticism available is NOT a move any person with intelligence wants.

Don't do what you wouldn't like others to do to you is the golden rule for a reason.

Retarded brainless fanatic cunts, I hope they all get blown up by drones. Some assholes crying crocodile tears whenever anyone disrespects their sacred book of giberish.

Funny, these people are mad at the USA for invading their country, and you support them and hope they die, while at the same time calling them retarded brainelss fanatic cunts for being mad at the USA invading their country.
I'd love to see your reaction when you walk on the street, see a tank driving by blowing up your house, killing your parents and than going "Oh well, these are nice people, they bring us democracy!"(and before you go "But they don't do things like that!", which I know will be your argument, watch some videos, read some stories, buy a ticket for the holidays to afghanistan, or even the Gaza that is facing more than usual attacks lately, and tell me how USA USA USA USA USA #1 #1 #1 #1 #1 #1 world police please spread your democracy!)

And to Arathian, it's easier and brings more attention to bring a clear message like burning down a flag, than having thousands of people write extremely intellectual to the white house, this is just an easy way for the common people to show their opinion about something, and it is working since we are here sitting on the internet seeing it.

Yes, but if they were something more than brainless fanatics maybe USA wouldn't be there in the first place. Nobody is suggesting bombing Finland for a reason.

But noooo, we must encourage brainless fanaticism, child-like name calling and pointless insults because the message is "clearer".

You know what? I don't fucking like the message, not one bit.

Brainless fanaticism works better in a lot of cases to voice your opinion over something as a big group than intellectualism. There is a reason why people demonstrate, it's easy, doesn't require that much thinking, but gets a very clear message out, epecially after any kind of intellectual ways of change are completely ignored.

Which one do you think will change american policy more:
Thousands of letters to Obama where people very kindly ask him to leave their nation and let them be in peace, or thousands of people marching in Kabul shouting Death to America, burning their flags and attacking any US troops there?
