Polearms

Polearm got nerfed and i'm ok with it.
Mod is better now since we don't have jumping pikes around and side stabs, BUT..

Thing that bothers me is that poles are kinda unplayable now...

Overhead is useless since you have to walk straight and overhead.
Left block usually don't work so i have to block with my left kidney.

And dunno.. there were few more things, I'm sure guys will add em..

So dear devs, help us!

If I am not completely wrong, cmp said the overhead/stab thingy will be fixed with the next client update.
When west germany annexed east germany, nobody moved a finger too.

^ Yeah, he said that the server registers them correctly but the client doesn't, so it requires another client side update.

Maybe that will also work against the blocks that aren't registering from time to time.

Would be cool to have a beta server before rolling out to the main servers. Just for testing upcoming changes so you don't get these sorts of game breaking bugs affecting a large part of the playerbase (well EU side anyway)

Not saying the devs aren't working hard, and I am patient. Just saying I'm sure a bunch would help out beta testing if that would help

Well, I play on Eu4 or Eu_Melee when I want to use my English Bill or my Long Awlpike. They're pretty shit on Eu 1 since they're not good jack of all trades weapons anymore. They're now quite useless for 1 vs. 1 and they're not as good at supporting as the pikes, and that makes them redundant. My poleaxe and pike is working well on Eu1 though, they weren't over-reliant on the spin-stabs, since poleaxe has 4 attacking direction and the pike has great length and is still a king for supporting. I sure do hope the devs will make the stabs glance less at close range, because those two-directional weapons are absolute balls on Eu1 :(
I voted Gurnisson cause of his fucking bendy pike, I swear noone can roflcopter stab like he can.

Yeah. I agree on this one.
I glance too much with long war axe on stab.

I also agree on poles to be nerfed, but making them useless is not contributing anyone.
Ppl will just switch to 2h or ranged...

2h stab is ridiculous now... It's like you can't spin a shit, but if you aim 1 cm aside your enemy and just spinstab he gets insta hit. Same goes with longspear, heavy lance and other polearms. Also overhead of 2h is much worse than pole-overhead. 2hs' overhead from danish/german and other long 2h wepaons usually glances on the ground and bounces up. While the bouncing on the ground animation is going on, you can't block. If you miss overhead, your enemy has a big chance of hitting you. 2h overhead is the strangest attack from all in this game. If I start the overhead half a meter on the left of the enemy and instantly move mouse half a meter away on the right of the enemy, he will probably get hit but sometimes he gets hit on ankles etc.  :shock: Very damn strange things happening with 2h overhead.

Also left block seems to have small covering zone so you need to be perfectly positioned to block the incoming hits. Just smaller covering area. (I think I say truth but I might be wrong)
