No

Ancient armour and weapons are made from bronze and cant do much damage/protection against medieval armor/weapon.

So? Still, you think you could survive a hit of a side sword to such an armor when calling it the best of yours if you go by roman armor only? Nah... just because we have asian armor in (and ONLY because it existed beforehand, if it didn't it wouldn't be in, and you know its kinda difficult to remove it after people used it for about 2 years and probably many people loomed it as well, imagine the QQ, even after the black armor got replaced...), we shouldn't ruin it more ("ruin" in saying, Knights already fight Ninjas and Samurais, not making the game better if they would also have to face the romans now who are already dead since more than 900 years and even more (if you compare the armors by time))....

also if you mean those armors being in the mod "mount & gladius" for example; they look really awful. Even if we were going to add roman armor, I wouldn't take those ...

Personally I would restrict gear to 1000-1300 AD stuff from European and Arab countries, something like 1257 AD mod.
Best ban reason ever:

I checked, the only Vagabond I found was Wolves_Vagabond_TheCruel, that guy is now unbanned. Ban reason was: "calling Zotte a cockswoggler".

Ok, but let's add tanks and guns as well. They are actually closer to what we currently have than that, so it would be more balanced right?

It's a fundamental difference...

The goal of Strategus battles shouldnt be to deprive your enemies of players, but to have full roster both sides and have the gear/tactics/strategy win the day rather than lack of merc support.

The difference is that ancient armor and weapons dont fit the crpg style right now. A Knight would kill a Roman in a second, a Greek would survive as he has/had similar armor.

I agree, but I mean more the difference in appearance of Roman armor like Lorica segmentata and for example Varangopoulos Armor http://c-rpg.net/index.php?page=equipshop&cat=body#!?page=itemdetail&id=5503, so even armors from Byzantium time period will not replace the Roman armors. It can't be a substitute.

I agree that they not fit to cRPG and probably we never saw it.

The only solution is to make a separate server for "ancient times", but this also will not happen...unfortunately  :|
