Please, please, can we have 2 slot bows!?

It is VERY annoying that the best looking bow (longbow) is 3 slot. It sucks. I miss my maul/bastard sword sidearm so much. Horn bow is better bow in practise and it gets to be 2slot, how come ?

Well, spamberge is unsheathable, so no worries there, and maybe a way needs to be found so the Poleaxe archers dont come back I guess, I dont miss that, but I play every day pretty much, and the whole time I am so sad...I just want to be able to have my bastard sword and longbow, and sometimes my nice wooden maul. Check Taleworlds forums, 1 month or less after each peasant wars, I would be tackling tincans with my longbow and maul. Less probs cause maul always been cheep and cheerful weapon....damn I miss it SO MUCH. Gonna offer my longbow on market for Yumi right now I guess....but its SO ugly...

Both Mace and Langes Messer are truly awesome weapons. For just 1 slot.

And... i was disapointed in this thread, i actually thought it was to create a "5 PD 2 slots not usable on horseback" bow, for the dedicated 5 PD infantry archers.

Mace is....cant even describe how bored I am of seeing it, I used to use it WAY back when, before slots and upkeep as a main weapon, knocked many tincans to their death, now its mainstream and fucking boring.


Langes messer is...ok, but it is essentially shit: the greatsword 2handed hold is ugly and stupid, the model is horrid, and the way it hangs in space, magically floating next to you is redunculous

Both those weapons suck balls, and all archers have pd 6 and use longbow and warbow. Unfortunatly, there are many ppl with bows and either pd 5 or 6 who ARE NOT archers, they are some stupid Elf from fantasy movies, running and shooting, its SO disgusting, makes me rage when they are around, hate it so much that devteam has made it NOT ONLY possible to do this, but almost a requirement, since there are no non-fugly crapanese ways of being an archer anymore, archers shoot and then fight, it is documented in countless historic works, archers stand with the infantry, soften enemy, then once the infantry meet, archers pull out weapons and help to gank. But No, not here, here they must be ethiopean runners, fucking gay elves, its tarded.

I generally try to stay away from massively popular/op combos, and nothing in the world is gonna make me buy a kuyak, or a greatsword, or make a 18/24 running elf (f)a(g)cher, and I guess I must continue to propose that horse bows ONLY be usable on horseback, the wpf curve be changed so archers can fight, and some way to stop archers from being such stupid kiters.

the way you go is to ruin the archer's reputation, you make other classes QQ and the devs do nerfs because of that.

I try to make my archer like a longbowman from 16th century. So I have masterwork short sword. If I had know they were going to add a sheath for Broad Short Sword (aka Sword of Whine) I would have loomed that instead. But no, maces dont fight the rp, and I really really hate this:

Did that long ago, before even the slot system, used to go siege, as attacker I could walk into castle, all the way to flag, just shooting everyone, archery was OP then for sure. I was first permapeasant archer, and I just miss the ultimate peasant 2hander, the maul. It looks good, is cheap, makes nice sound, knocks knights off their horses and to the ground, but I have to use it on an alt and that makes me sadface. I refuse to go back to kite archering, its so unrealistic, unbalanced, and over everything else, its...its just SO gay.

Okay, I was joking. I do try to avoid melee though untill I run out of arrows, or if I am the last one in the team. Sometimes I just go in melee with my hammer for fun. Also we do have 2 slot bows... I usually use rus bow, but sometimes I just grab horn bow and 3 stacks of normal arrows and kill them enemy archers. It's easier to kill enemy archers that way than with rus bow IMO. Since you can shoot faster and spam the shit out of them with 3 stacks of arrows.

What about Fighting Axe in 2h mode? >100 reach with most swings, breaks shields, fast and hits harder than most 1h swords.

Or a 1-hander, with or without the 0-slot buckler. Archers have plenty of options. Embrace the slot system; I myself remember having an Arbalest+bolts, a long maul, and a pike all equipped at once. That was utterly stupid.
