I play 1h cav, and I like med/heavy horses like the cataphract.

1h cav is not handicap compared to lance cav.  It's just better at different things.

Sneaking up on inf: Lance is better (couch)
Close infantry support: 1h is better
tighter areas/clusterfucks: 1h is better

Myself, Leshma and Kastamnoulu on EU.  Including other less famous players.  On NA there are several as well, but that is besides the point.

I find the cataphract good, for horse archers too. Not bad, at least.

I think the class does not play a huge rule what horse is better for you. It is more defined by the playing style.

All templols i see in Eu1 new are lancers,leshma is footman,not 2h cav,and third guy i never saw him in game.

Horse like cataphract and arabian are small horse thus it is easier to land hits with them using 1h or 2h.

Any horse can be used for 1h/2h cav honestly it just depends on the player who's on the horse but personally I know maneuverability is Definitly a must to be really successful. I ride an Arabian and use a heavy bastard sword and get just as many kills as our beloved Huey newton. Sure I can't go head to head with lancers but I have no need to and if anyone seen me play latly on NA 1 they would not say im handicapped but it is so much easier to kill people with a lance head on.

So for most cases I'd say grab a lance if your inexperienced as a cavalry player but if you like more of a challenge and bump slashin the bitches then go 2h cav but expect to get your ass handed to you by other cav until you learn how to avoid lances and get close enough to kill hen or their horse.
