I have tried to register at this bugtracker site but no confirmation email has been sent, provided email adress has been registered though. Double checked correct spelling of email adress, checked spam folder, waited 20 minutes so ill post here as I expect it has been reportet some time ago anyway.

Arrows and most likely other projectiles have always passed through bodies without connecting with their hitboxes every now and then, this shouldnt be anything new. This happens regardless of what pings or target-movements are involved, meaning that a shot that would have been a 100% hit will simply fly through the character model as it was air.

Amongh others I noticed that the rate at which arrows are "ghosting" though enemies ( or teammates ) seems to be considerably higher since the last major patch. Judging from my observations this phenomenon is more common the higher the missile speed is at impact on target, especially point blank shots. Also it seems there are certain time windows at which shots wont be registered, leading to rows of consecutive arrows not connecting. The server popularity however does not seem to have a great impact on this, it happens on almost empty duel and crowded siege/battle servers alike, not to mention DTV where hitboxes decide to freely shift in between time and space.

As I am quite certain this bug has been reported yet, is there any particular issue causing this or are the servers simply not able to calculate sufficient collision detection among other ( new ? ) processes ?

Happens with bolts too. Sometimes you push your crossbow into someone so the entire crosshair is surrounded by his body and then miss. That is, from horseback (so speed/movement involved) - the problem seems much more rare when firing stationary.

BUMP

There probably have been millions of projectiles launched so far which ghosted though playermodels since the beginning of this mod. Is there any chance this will be looked into in the future ?

You sure they don't hit? I noticed a few times that something hurt me, but I see no arrows/bolts sticking in my body. Without any infantry around.
The logic of war seems to be that if a belligerent can fight he will fight.

point black arrow shots tend to fly through if the enemy is jumping towards me in very close range. (Bodkin+Rus Bow). Happens way often...
