I say cav, particularly the speed, particularly the courser.

All problems in range balance stem from coursers.  They're too fast; you can't hear them coming as a result; they mulch everything.  If you buff ranged enough to deal with them, then ranged decimates everything.  If you don't buff ranged enough to deal with them, then they'll own the whole field.

Archer spam?  Thrower spam?  It's because of cav, mainly the courser.


You'll never have balance in this game with cav speed (and maneuverability) being what it is.

Heavy throwing axes are far superior to spears if you want to actually kill horses.  Spears are best for standing there looking like an idiot while an HX circles around you and shoots you in the face, or rides past you and kills your buddies.

Consequently, NA has more throwers than I have ever seen in the history of cRPG, mainly to deal with cav.

If you're fine with "Mount and Throwing Axe" then by all means keep up the "stop crying" routine and be sure to repeat it in every "THROWING IS OP" thread that pops up.  If coursers were taken out of the game tomorrow you'd probably see half of the throwers (or more) return to full infantry mode.

Clearly the most pressing issue in cRPG is Gomer being unmuted. I demand that the devs rectify this mistake right away by muting him, because clearly such travesties are an affront to common decency.
