Yell Spam

I learned that some areas of this community are more childish than I thought . On the whole though the attitude I see here is not what I see in game. Lots of posturing on the forum or little cliques people want to be a part of

There are like 5 people that said they wanted a way to somehow control voice command spam, out of which only you wanted the yell commands to appear in text chat.

I'm fine with a loose automatic anti-spam and I think it should have been there from the start, but making the spammed commands appear in the chat is a terrible idea. Sound spam isn't that much of an issue compared to text spam.




When people disagree with you, just find or make up something that makes their voice weightless, you can win all arguments that way.

There's already a yell spam filter, QMV. It's not like people listen when I run up to them and say "Incoming infantry from behind/right/left". Only once did I save an archer doing that and only because I outran the guy and kicked him in the back after saying it a few times.

Actually these people that think they're spamming next to me ingame are far from doing the pure spam I complained about. I saw a guy who literally road his horse out of spawn and didn't bother taking a weapon out, then pressed qqy (v now) all round, for an entire map. Son of Odin you didn't even come close to spamming, none of you did. Try harder.

"Spam" RETREAT enough and it sounds like TREAT which is exactly what it is for your eardrums.

You can disable them.  Nobody uses them for anything useful and if you hear somebody saying FLANK LEFT you're not going to do it anyway, you'd think he's dumber than a five-eyed spider spinning a web in a chicken coop for using yells.
