If you win a banner auction, can you change a banner for a clan only once or can it be changed multiple times? Is there any limitation?

What happens with the banner, if I my main char leaves a clan and joins a new one? Does the banner stay in the old clan or is it lost?

I bet that you will lose the banner if you leave the clan that has it as its exclusive. This should make room for a new one if you join another clan.

If I found a ladder clan with an alt character, can I buy a banner slot with my main and use it with my alt for his clan?

There is no limit on changing the banner. When you win a banner auction you must be in a clan at that time or you get nothing (i'm looking into it to avoid that somehow). The banner is bound to the clan, if you leave it stays with the clan. If you are the last member and the clan is deleted the banner slot is lost too (it becomes available again for others).

Well it seems as the banners are downloaded now everytime (or everytime they were changed), that will be a problem.

true, that means if it was possible, I need to change it again after each update. That would be fine with me, was just wondering.
