New patch, and my PS2 is working again! yay! Also it seems they've done some succesful optimizing since my fps has gotten much better.

    Liberators/Galaxies:

    These aircraft are now easier to lock-on to with anti-air missles. By default you can lock on to them 1 second faster. This means it requires 2.5 seconds to lock on to an ESF and 1.5 seconds to lock-on to a Liberator/Galaxy.
    Lock on rockets and missiles should now hit more frequently and are harder to dodge.

    Lock-on weapons can only be avoided by the following:

        Flares
        Forcing the missile to hit something else
        Outrunning it which requires you to be distant and burn a lot of fuel
        A very near miss which should be very challenging

AA missiles harder to dodge ?

What the fuck are they thinking ? What about removing all the utility upgrades on aircraft but flares ? Even better, no flare buff. People can send you 2 AA missiles in 5 seconds, but you only have flares every 40 seconds. nothing to see here.

Well, I have the only-air lock on missile for my Heavy assault, and until now it was absolute crap unless you managed to sneak behind an enemy tank and hit from close range to the rear. Yes, it was more useful against ground units than air. Against air it dealt very little damage and most of the hits didn't register at all. Hopefully now
a) the hits will register and actually deal damage
b) I can shoot more than 1 rocket before the target has gotten away.

Still, even if I shoot all my rockets at a liberator I won't be able to bring it down alone.

Edit. Okay I have to admit, it is a bit depressing to first hear that lock-on sound when flying, get hit by a rocket and realise that the you're still locked on by another rocker, and another, and another....
The sound wont stop untill you're down  :?

AA missiles are probably the #1 scrub weapon

Anyway, any of you other than Lennu tested PS2 after the "performance" patch? Any noticable changes to framerate?

Me and Panos were playing the other day, dunno if that was before or after.

Performance is much better now than it was at release. Game has reached the stage now where they should have released it.  I had a mild graphics glitch, but tbh i think panos was to blame for that.

A performance boost?

Sweet, gonna' test it today.

A bit better, still plays like ass in an actual battle though.

I just got the auraxium medal for the M18 Needler and the Hellfire Pods, boomed up to 500 certs lol
