Why are you so sure about that ? I dunno but even if they don't actually allow you can still start the new launcher, stop it, copy the beta files in the same folder and directly switch to autorepair. Assuming they have an autorepair patcher.

IIRC someone asked on official forums and someone official answered we'll have to redownload everything from scratch.

yeah before I was making myself wait for release, but now Im moving house to a less capable computer for a good while. so probably the last chance I will get to play the game ironically.
