I didn't play for quite some time now, just tested Amerish a bit. Trying not to overdo it before the actual release, just saving myself for it. No point in playing so much while it is still in beta.

My thoughts exactly.


I should try to play at least a little though, I'll have 4000 station cash to spend on release, knowing what the fuck I should do with it is a good idea.

All the changes seem superawesome, the only one I don't like is this one:

40 seconds is extremely long, even for long range infantry combat.

Yeah im not sure about the health regen system, i quite like the current system with regen kits / medics being your source of health.  The health regen is catering to the MMS solo scene and not the teamplay side.

I don't think the health regen change is going to make much of a difference in actual front line combat. 

It will however reward good play from more "soloish" classes like the Light Assault and Infiltrator who are designed to get in, cause mischief, and get out.  I play infil regularly (as an actual infiltrator not a sniper) and this change will be nice for the times where I'm deep on the enemies' side and have no access to a medic.  Regen kits can only sustain me for so long.  I feel it's a justified way to keep the flanking classes in the battle albeit with a downtime.

Playing an infiltrator as an actual saboteur/spy behind enemy lines is very cool, but actually crossing the lines without getting killed can be a challenge in some situations.

Yeah the light assault really is the most skill-based class IMO. You don't have anything special but your jetpack and have to use it in a clever way if you are going to do better than other classes. It's also a great example of freedom = skill.
