Eh I don't mind coming to EU1, have no affinity as well. I'm not playing that much anyway atm, since I have little time and there's also GW2.

I'm a bit disappointed in base capture mechanics and the general flow of the battle and strategy. There doesn't seem to be a lot of the latter, it's just storming random bases from spawnpoints, not much depth in transportation and stuff. There's no frontline. No depth in actually moving masses of people, you just spawn on a point right into action.
Every base is safe for only what, 5 minutes, because of the uberfast decryption timer. So people just fly off and take another base because you lose that base in max 15 minutes anyway. There's no incentive to defend because of this, because you can retake the base again 5 minutes after they capped it.
The whole influence thing doesn't really work well, we completely took over Bio Labs, no enemy anywhere and we still lost the area due to god knows what kind of influence crap.

Then again, they did say they were going to redo the whole base capture thingy after performance fixes. Still enjoyable though :)

Yep definitely room for improvement, but the basic game play seems fine to me.

They are experimenting with new base capture flow changes (like they promised) and we will soon be testing them!

So I posted on the forums and apparently I'm not the only one getting these FPS freezes. People are pretty sure it's because I got a Dual Core as others who have it are also receiving this spike.

I get decent FPS 20~ while in combat and 40-50 outside combat but get random drops down to 0-2 for about 3 seconds and pretty much freezes up. Hopefully they get this fixed soon, it happens at random times and quite frequent and is a little frustrating. I'll turn a corner and see a enemy and start unloading, freeze for 2-3 seconds come back and I'm dead.

Edit - They fixed it today, wooo. Now they just need optimization.

beta is VERY rough plus it shuts off @ 12am CST which is like near the middle of my play time.  Like I said, look up the crew above.

What I find strange is alot of beta players are capping undefended bases instead of LOOKING FOR actual fights.  If its not prime time, I have troubles finding any sustainable back & forth action

I also thought the same but today was a bundle of fun, had a lot of good fights.

I'm not really interested in joining a hardcore clan for PS2, just a group to play with now and then.

-In order to capture a base, your empire will now need to own a hex adjacent to it.

In the patch notes, should be creating more fights and less back capping, I like it.
