From the videos of gameplay it looks like you need over half a clip from the starting rifles to drop someone.  Of course i imagine that changes when you put certs into different things.

So how does shooting and killing in Planetside work? How many bullets does it take to kill etc?

The game also has headshots and different classes have different amounts of health along with different guns all with different damage values ranging from rockets to pistols......so it varys, can't really answer that.

I can only say it for Planetside 1.
If you have played the rebel smuts aka New Conglomerat, then  2 to 3 shots. If you have fought for the good guys aka Terran Republic, then 1 magazine better 2.

Ok seriously, it has depended on your weapon, the armour of your enemy and sometimes mods like shields as well.

Meh, they are rebels and fighters but not terrorists. The Terran Republic are the terrorists, they are the ones that systematically used terror as a means of coercion rather than the NC or Vanu.

The current crisis in Syria, the insurgents call themself freedom fighters and for the government they are just terrorists.
The war in Afghanistan, the Taliban groups see themself as freedom fighters, for the officials they are terrorist.
You can do that with every revolution.

No, if your out murdering civilians and systematically using terror as a means of coercion, you are a terrorist. Period. Doesn't matter which side you support.

And your saying that's not what happens in any occupied countries?  Terrorism is a matter of perspective. What someone calls murder, another my call collateral damage.  What someone calls terror as a means of coercion others call peace keeping operations or counter insurgency.
